Black Drongo
(Dicrurus macrocercus)

Identification : This bird has a slender, elongated body. Its plumage is entirely black, with a bluish-green or bluish sheen on the head, chest, back, and shoulders. The flight feathers are dark brown. It has a proportionally long tail, deeply forked at the tip.

Juveniles have a dark brown head, with scattered white-scaled markings on the belly and under tail-coverts.

It is commonly found in open areas such as coastlines, rice fields, and agricultural lands, and occasionally in open woodlands. This species is both a resident and a non-breeding visitor. It is commonly seen.
